White sangria is refreshing, easy to make, and fruity. It will make all your hot summer days be something else, as it's an original and delicious beverage. It is a perfect drink to serve during dinner with friends.

To make this sangria I used fresh fruit like oranges and strawberries, but you could also change it and use any other kind of fruit. Besides, this recipe will work with plenty of different ingredients, so go ahead and get creative!

Sangria is actually a quite sweet drink, so I added some brown sugar to it. However, if you don't eat sugar you could substitute it for any other kind of sweetener, even a liquid one.

This white sangria is tasty, easy to make, and requires only 9 simple ingredients. To make it you just need 15 minutes of your time, a pitcher, and some alcohol, and remember to serve it nice and cool!

How to make white sangria - Step by step

Step by step photos of how to make white sangria
  • Put the white wine, orange juice, Cointreau, lemon juice, and sugar into a pitcher (photo 1) and mix until well combined (photo 2).
  • Incorporate the cinnamon sticks and the fruit (photo 3) and stir again (photo 4).
  • It's best to let it marinate for at least 30 minutes before serving, but you can serve immediately as well.

Pro tips

  • You should keep all the ingredients (specially the liquid ones) in the fridge so they're cold before making the sangria.
  • Feel free to water it down by adding some sparkling water or even more juice.
  • It would be best to use seasonal fruit, although you can also use the fruits you have on hand.
  • Cointreau is optional.
  • Sugar can be replaced by any other sweetener.

Can I make white sangria with different alcohols?

White wine is the essential ingredient to make white sangria, but Cointreau is optional. If you want to replace the brandy for a different kind of alcohol, feel free to use rum, whiskey, or vodka.

When to serve white sangria

This refreshing drink is perfect for the hot summer evenings. Its fruity flavor and sweetness make it suitable for a Saturday dinner with friends, a late lunch, or any other kind of social event. Serve it cool and everyone will love it!

What foods can I serve with white sangria?

Sangria works well with plenty of different foods! It goes with appetizers or even with dishes like vegan pasta salad.
