Sangria is probably one of the most known Spanish drinks. And that's completely understandable because it's delicious, refreshing, and so good! This beverage is perfect to have during the summertime and it's great to serve on a dinner with friends.

Although I don't usually drink alcohol, when I do I prefer to drink beer or wine, as they contain less amount of alcohol than other kinds of drinks. And sangria is so popular in Spain that mostly everyone knows how to prepare it!

Besides, making sangria is so easy you won't believe it. However, traditional sangria is made with white sugar, soda, or even brandy sometimes, but I made a healthier version as tasty as the original one.

Sangria, a super refreshing and delicious beverage, perfect for keeping the hot weather in line. It's a super simple and easy-to-prepare recipe, and to make it you only need 7 ingredients and just 15 minutes!

What is sangria?

Sangria is a traditional Spanish alcoholic drink made of red wine and some chopped fruits, sugar, soda, and juice. It's very sweet and refreshing, and it's perfect to enjoy on a hot summer afternoon or evening.

This beverage is so popular because it's delicious but also very affordable, and it doesn't have a strong flavor at all! I really recommend you give this recipe a try if you're looking for a summer drink.

How long will sangria keep?

Although alcohol lasts for quite some time, sangria contains fresh fruit, so it's important to store it in a closed bottle in the fridge for up to 2 days.

How to serve sangria

Sangria goes really well with Spanish food, such as vegan Spanish tortilla. However, you can enjoy it just by itself or drink it with any dish that calls for wine, or an appetizer of vegan cheese and crackers, for example.
