Avocado smoothie, a delicious, creamy and healthy breakfast or snack recipe. It’s ready in less than 5 minutes and requires just 5 ingredients.

Avocado smoothie, a simple and amazing recipe. Smoothies are a great way of incorporating more fruit and veggies into your diet, and they are perfect for spring, summer, fall, and even winter.

This beverage is nutritious, refreshing and so soft you won’t believe its amazing texture. It’s also creamy and made with ingredients you can easily find at any grocery store. To make it you only need a blender and 5 minutes of your time!

This recipe only requires avocado, banana, plant milk, dates and leafy greens like spinach. It is so tasty you won’t need to add any kind of sweetener, so the dates are actually optional.

Avocado smoothie, an easy-to-make recipe you can have any time. Eat it for breakfast, as a snack or even as a dessert, and make your meals nutritious and delicious at the same time. Customize it with berries, ground cinnamon, ground ginger, cocoa powder or even drink it plain!

How to make an avocado smoothie - Step by step

Step by step photos of how to make avocado smoothie

  • Add all the ingredients to a blender (photo 1) and blend until smooth (photo 2).
  • Serve immediately with your favorite toppings.

Pro tips

  • If you want your smoothie really cold, add your banana frozen as well as some ice cubes. It will also be creamier.
  • You can either use fresh or frozen spinach.
  • Replace Medjool Dates with Deglet Nour dates if you can’t find them. In that case, you’ll have to add 2-4 dates instead.
  • Feel free to incorporate other ingredients to make this smoothie perfect for you.

Will this avocado smoothie turn brown?

Avocados get brown when exposed to air - it is a natural chemical reaction. However, this does not mean they’re going bad or turning rancid, so even if the smoothie gets a little brown, it will still have the same properties as it would if it were totally green.

Can I make this avocado smoothie without milk?

You could substitute the milk for juice, coconut water or regular water. Although I used homemade almond milk, if you don’t like it feel free to use any other kind of plant milk.

How long will this avocado smoothie last?

Keep it in an airtight container in the fridge and it will last for 1-2 days in the fridge. Make sure to drink it while it’s still fresh so it keeps all its properties.

Actually in Brazil is very common to drink avocado blend with milk. they usually use dairy but in this case any non dairy milk will do it. With just those 2 ingredients is still very nice.
