Blueberry overnight oats | simpleveganblog.com #vegan #glutenfree #healthy

I eat oats very often. I use them to make all kinds of recipes, but I prefer to add oats to my morning green smoothie. I also make oatmeal or porridge, especially when I'm not at home and I can get a powerful blender to make my smoothies or when I want something warm and comforting.

Overnight oats are not very common here in Spain and I don't know why. I discovered this recipe reading English and American blogs and I loved the idea, but I've never made it until now, it's great! It's the perfect meal to eat on the go, it's a healthy breakfast (or snack) and you can make it the night before. If you are a busy person, you need to try this amazing recipe!

Blueberry overnight oats is a delicious and quick breakfast | simpleveganblog.com #vegan #glutenfree #healthy

Everybody can make overnight oats, it's the easiest recipe you can make! You only need a jar and a spoon, that's all. Mix all the ingredients, store the jar in the fridge overnight and enjoy a super delicious breakfast in the morning!

Tips:

  • Use your favorite plant milk. I love oat milk, but if you use almond or coconut milk, you'll get a creamier texture.
  • Dates and maple syrup are the sweeteners I always have in my kitchen, but feel free to use another one, just add it gently and try the oats until they're sweet enough for you.
  • Instead of the chia seeds, you can add more oats.
  • If you don't like or have almond butter, use any other nut butter or a tablespoon of non refined coconut oil.

    Hi,
Thank you for the recipe. It was amazing. I was wondering can i make them on Sunday for the whole week? Is it okay to store overnight oats for 4 days?

    Hello Iosune,
first I have to say that I just love blueberries 🙂

I've been looking for a tasty, healthy and simple recipe with blueberries for a long time 🙂

The Overnight Oats are perfect. Often I oversleep in the morning and don't have the time to prepare my breakfast.

That's why your recipe is just right 🙂
I'm going to try it out tonight!

I like your blog in general very much! You have very great recipes, here I will certainly still read and try a lot 🙂

Have you ever done anything about dessert in a glass?

    Dearest greetings,
    Nadine

    P.S.: My English isn't the best, but I hope it's enough 🙂

Way too much for me. I used real blueberries and strawberries. Made it with almond milk instead of oat and no almond butter or jam, which shaved off about 200 cals...still had to carry it over to lunch lol. I'll definitely use only half or a quarter cup of oats next time! Thanks for the base idea though, it should be easy to find what works for me through trial and error now ^_^

I think you mean 60g oats, not 160g.

Hi Kath! We don't count calories, you don't need to if you follow a high carb, low fat vegan diet and you eat until you're satisfied. You can eat less if it's too much for you 🙂
