Vegan Waldorf Salad.- I'm obsessed with this vegan Waldorf salad. The dressing is so creamy, but is healthier and lighter than the traditional one.

It's salad time! I've never tried a non vegan version of Waldorf salad. In fact, I've only eaten twice in my life and both times the salad were plant based and both tasted amazing.

Traditional Waldorf is made with mayonnaise, so it's not a super healthy dressing, that's why I chose not to replace it with vegan mayo and used yogurt instead. This dressing is so creamy and tasty, you should try it with other salads and I suggest you to add or remove any ingredients you want for those you have on hand.

By the way, we're going to Scottland tomorrow. We're going to visit Glasgow, Edinburgh and Skye. If you know some vegan restaurant you think we could enjoy or some beautiful place to visit, please leave a comment below. If you make the salad, we would like to hear from you as well. Hope you enjoy it!

Tips:

  • Use the veggies, fruits, nuts, herbs and spices you want.
  • You can replace the tahini with any other healthy fat you want.

Used this receipe but instead of yogurt I used hummus! Added some maple syrup & it's delicious! I thinned 1/2 it for a single serving salad & the rest I'll use as a dip.

Delicious recipe. Thank you! I didn’t have yogurt so I whipped up some cashew cheese and thinned it with water to get the mayo like consistency. Also allergic to grapes, so I subbed in craisens. Amazing.

Do you think plain cashew cream would work instead of yogurt?

Hi Kristina! I've never tried cashew cream, so I don't know, but you could try... Vegan mayo is also a great choice. Have a nice day!

What can you recommend as a substitute for the herbs de provence and also plant bases yogurt. We don't have vegan yogurt available here in the philippines.

Hi Barbie! You could use oregano or any dried herb you like and instead of the plant based yogurt, you could add more tahini. Have a nice day!

Thank you for the great recipe 🙂 When I visited Edinburgh a few years ago I really enjoyed "Clarinda's Tea Room". It's not a vegan place but I think they have vegan options. Enjoy your trip and keep up the great work :)!
