I like almost every single sweet recipe, yes, I have a sweet tooth! Desserts taste great, but my digestion has improved a lot since I eat sweet things only for breakfast, as a snack or when I eat at restaurants.
Simple sweet recipes are my favorite ones. I love to cook (it's obvious, I'm a food blogger ?), but I usually make simple recipes, that's why we decided to call our blog Simple Vegan Blog because we wanted to make simple recipes for everyone and make you life easier!
You just need 4 ingredients to make this pudding, what? Yes, only 4: chia seeds, cocoa powder, maple syrup and some plant milk of your choice. It's a super quick recipe that is ready in 10 minutes, although you need to let stand this amazing pudding in the fridge overnight or for at least 4 hours, but it's worth the wait!
When the chia pudding is ready to serve, add your favorite toppings like fruits, nuts, seeds, cacao nibs, Vegan Whipped Cream or whatever.
Hope you like and make this recipe, if you do, please leave a comment, we love to hear from you. Thanks for all your support and for being always there for us! ❤️
Looking for more vegan pudding ideas? Try these: Vegan Tapioca Pudding, Vegan Chia Pudding, and Vegan Chocolate Pudding. They're all quick and delicious!
Tips:
- Feel free to use any other sweetener, just add it gently until the pudding is sweet enough for you.
- To make your pudding creamier, use soy milk, almond milk or some nut milk because they have more fat, although you can use any plant milk or even water.
- Carob powder or raw cacao also work, but maybe you'll need to add more or less. Carob is also sweeter, so probably you'll need to add less maple syrup.
4-Ingredient Chocolate Chia Pudding
Ingredients
- 6 tablespoon chia seeds
- 2 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup plant milk of your choice
- 3 tablespoon maple syrup
Instructions
- Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and let stand for 15 minutes. Then stir and store the mixture in a sealed container in the fridge overnight or for at least 4 hours.
- Serve with your favorite toppings. We added some banana slices, raspberries, chopped pistachios and cacao nibs on top.

Merci Sarah 🙂

Lauren, I agree with Susie - Dr. Fuhrman's site will be able to help. And you can skip oil and still have healthy fat like Avocado. Also look at Dr. Esselstyn's cookbooks - most libraries have them. They use whole food and no oil as well. He used to work at CCF in cardiology and left to pursue nutritional medicine.

Hi Colleen! Thanks a lot for your comment 🙂 Have a nice day!

This is so delicious! I made it with coconut milk instead of almond milk, as it’s what I had on hand. Reminded me of my all-time favorite dessert, chocolate mousse! THANK YOU!
Iosune says
Hi Ana! Thanks a lot 😀 Coconut milk is a great choice. You're so welcome!
Taylor says
Could I use honey instead of maple syrup?
Iosune says
Hi Taylor! I'm vegan, so I don't consume honey. Try to add agave syrup or any liquid sweetener you want 🙂

I just made it four hours ago and it was good. It is not a chocolate chip cookie, but a lot healthier and a certain stand in for dessert in order to stay healthy! Thanks!! I love your blog. I've been cooking a lot of your recipes!!
Iosune says
Hi Whitney! Thank you so much 🙂 Have a nice day!

Hi my daughter and I are trying to eat healthier and we are trying to go vegan. When school starts up, I'll be clueless about what to pack in her lunch. Do you have any recipes for snacks or quick sandwich substitutes.
P.S. I haven't tried this recipe yet but my daughter is excited and open to trying new vegan options 🙂
Iosune says
Hi Virginia! We have so many recipes on the blog, you should take a look 😉 I love fruits, nuts and seeds for snack, but these balls are also amazing http://simpleveganblog.com/3-ingredient-raw-cacao-bites/ This sandwich is so delicious and healthy: http://simpleveganblog.com/simple-hummus-sandwich/ Have a nice day!

My husband recently had by-pass surgery a few weeks ago, quite a shock to both of us. On the recommendation of both Cleveland Clinic and my husband's CNP we have decided together to go vegan. The program however eliminates any oils or nuts or in other words any food that has a mother or face along with any plants with oil. Sadly avocados are gone.
So far I have been quite happy and successful with preparing foods for us over the last week and half since he came home, which just happened to be our 35th anniversary that day, best one ever!!! My biggest challenge is feeding his sweet tooth with those snack foods that he craves. Since the restrictions of oils and nuts its a bit overwhelming I am in search of other recipes and websites that can give me a variety of foods for us.
I found your website and have added it to my library...
Bright Blessings,
Lauren M.

Look into Dr. Fuhrman's new book on heart disease. You will be able to eat avocados! I follow his diet & have reversed my auto-immune condition. Check him out!
Iosune says
Hi Susie! Thanks a lot for your comment 🙂 I eat avocados very often, I love them!

This was a wonderful pudding and not too sweet, but will try and make with less chia to cut the calories. These two servings were about 300 cal. each and approximately 12 g. of fat. A little too high for my liking. But what a wonderful vegan dessert.
Iosune says
Hi Elizabeth! Thanks 🙂 We don't count calories, we just follow a healthy diet and eat until we're satisfied 😉
Elizabeth says
YES YOU'RE RIGHT. IT'S BEST TO NOT COUNT AND I DON'T EITHER. I JUST WANTED TO BE CONSCIOUS OF THE FACT. AND I'M IMPRESSED THAT YOU CARED ENOUGH TO WRITE BACK. IT MEANS ALOT. THANKS.

You're so welcome Elizabeth! Have a nice day 😉
